Physical Computing Lab

The Physical Computing Lab is about the design of user interfaces for interactive devices and objects. This semester''s topic was "interactive bikes." Teams of five students designed possible features of interactive bikes and implemented them prototypically. The projects are: Bikey a handlebar keyboard that may be used while biking, an adaptive distance projection using two line lasers and accelerometers, a blind spot monitor, and a group exertion monitor that measures the exertion levels of a group of cyclists and suggests a common speed.
